GENERAL RULES

These rules have appeared consistently across hundreds of reported experiences. Your world may be different... but these warnings remain the same.

"Most reports agree on these."
"Page recovered in 2004"

Rule #1

Never force open a locked door.

If a door refuses to open, something behind it is either unfinished... or doesn't want to be found.

Leave it alone.

Rule #2

Never enter a room full of clocks.

Nobody knows why these rooms exist.

Those who enter often report hours, days, or even years passing inside despite only being asleep for minutes.

Some never find another exit.

Rule #3

If a place suddenly becomes silent, leave immediately.

The subconscious is never truly quiet.

If every sound disappears, something else has taken its place.

Rule #4

Never trust familiar faces.

Parents.
Friends.
Teachers.
Children.
Even yourself.

The subconscious can imitate anyone.

That doesn't mean they're real.

Rule #5

Never answer when something calls your real name.

Nothing inside the dream should know who you are.

If it does...

Keep walking.

GENERAL RULES

Rule #6

Don't stay where you feel unwelcome.

Some rooms reject you.

When lights begin flickering, doors close on their own, or you feel watched...

Leave immediately.

Rule #7

Never remain in one place for too long.

The world changes.

Sometimes it's subtle.

Sometimes you'll turn around and realize the hallway behind you no longer exists.

Movement keeps the world stable.

Rule #8

Mirrors are not windows.

Avoid looking into reflections for more than a few seconds.

Many dreamers claim their reflection eventually stops copying them.

No one has explained why.

Rule #9

If you forget why you're there...

Wake up.

The purpose of the world is to confront what you've hidden from yourself.

Once you forget your purpose, the world begins deciding one for you.

Rule #10

Never assume you've escaped.

False awakenings are common.

If something feels wrong after waking...

Question everything.

FINAL RULE

If you ever meet the Man in the Suit...

Leave.

Do not speak to him.
Do not ask questions.
Do not follow him.
Do not let him convince you he can help.

Unlike everything else you've encountered... he does not belong there.

The world was created to heal. He twists it into something else.

Rooms that once felt familiar become impossible. Doors disappear. Creatures become hostile. Memories stop behaving like memories.

The longer he knows you're there, the less the world follows its own rules.

No one knows what he is. No one knows where he came from. Older reports never mention him. Then... every report does.

Some believe he escaped from another dream. Others believe he was never human.

"They begin describing him... as if they've always known him."

If you see a tall man wearing a black suit standing perfectly still...

Turn around.
Find another door.

And pray... He hasn't already seen you.
